Tammy

Tammy is a four year old black and white spayed female who is the most affectionate cat ever. Her rescuer took her in as a very small kitten and they were inseparable until a year ago when her human passed away. Tammy adjusted to her foster home like the survivor that she is and has been accepted by the other cats and humans she lives with. She greets visitors, loves to sit in laps, and is a good bedtime companion. A perfect kitty for an adult household . She is spayed, immunized and healthy.

Adopt

Stray cats are trapped and brought in to an isolated holding cage. A veterinary visit is scheduled and the cat is evaluated as to age and general health. Rabies and distemper Immunization are administered and blood test for Feline HIV (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FelV) are performed. If the cat has not been altered, the cat is scheduled for spay or neuter. After a period of isolation from other cats (determined in consultation with the veterinarian) the cat is ready to go to a temporary foster home. The cat receives love, attention, good food and learns to trust humans. During this time the cat is evaluated as to temperament and social needs so that an appropriate adoption placement can be made. Putnam Felines pays all veterinary costs while the cat is in foster care.

All of our cats and kittens are delivered spayed or neutered, with all age appropriate immunizations, treated for parasites, tested for FIV and Leukemia and microchipped.

The adoption fees for kittens up to a year $125.00, Adult cats $95.

	My name is Lo Mein, one of the newest rescues here at Putnam Felines, and I am what they call a Tuxedo cat. What's that you say?. Well I'll tell you. I am an all black tabby with a little white bib under my chin resembling a tuxedo. Currently I am in a foster home learning my indoor manners but soon will be ready for adoption
	My name is Sebastian and I am another new rescue here at Putnam Felines. I'm a gray and white tabby with the most expressive eyes that literally talk to you, a little shy but that shyness quickly disappears once I get to know you. If your looking to make your heart go reelin" with feelin", then I'm your feline.
	My name is Pewter and am a beautiful gray 2 year old cat. I was rescued with my two pals, Sebastian aned LoMein, by Putnam Felines. My foster mom says I am a sweet cat - she calls me her lap cat. I have a wonderful disposition and you would not go wrong in including me in your family.
	Chester is a handsome young adult male who would love to have his own family to love. He is affectionate and loves attention but does not like other animals. He is healthy, immunized and ready to go home. Our adoption fee is $95.
	Mugsy is a very sweet, healthy 1year old boy, rescued from Coney Island. Blood tested, Neutered, Vaccinated and MicroChipped. He is very playful and very affectionate. He is excellent company and has a lot to say when talked to. :) Needs a good home to call his own.
	Simpson is a sweet but shy orange kitty with a bobbed tail. He loves being with other animals and is fond of cuddling with friends in the cat tree for afternoon naps. He is about four years old, neutered, immunized and healthy. His tail was damaged while he was living outside trying to make it on his own and was removed surgically while he was still a kitten. Our Vet speculates that he was probably attacked from behind by a raccoon who was competing with him for available food. He is still a bit insecure but wants to be everyone's friend. He is really adorable when he gets excited about seeing the birds at the feeder and his little stump wags back and forth at top speed. He would love a home with his friend Pedro or another friendly cat, but no small children . Adoption fee is $95.
	Pedro is a small four year old white cat with black markings who gets along with all of the other cats in his foster home. He loves to snuggle with his friends but needs time to get to know his humans. He has the most adorable habit of sitting on the end table with his two front paws dangling in the tissue box. Yes, he requires his own tissue box. Very strange, but cute. He is neutered, immunized, healthy and ready to go to a new home. His ideal home would be with another friendly cat or his friend Simpson but no small children. Adoption fee is $95.

	Tessie is a stray but most definitely appears to be an American Shorthair with her bullseye pattern and sweet round face. This is not the Tabby, American Shorthair we all know, but a very old breed that is thought to have come over on the Mayflower and subsequent ships to this country. She is intelligent , fearless, inquisitive and truly a cat lovers cat. She is also beautiful, about two years old, healthy, immunized and spayed. She would be good in any adult home with no other
	Midnight wasn't very pretty to look at. With a lot of medical attention and TLC he has turned out to be very handsome and is very happy being a lap cat in his foster home. He is FIV positive, which means he has to be an only cat or in a home with other FIV positive kitties. He is always up front on the line waiting to be petted and the last to leave. A love of a cat, he is gentle, playful, doesn't mind being left alone during the day, and likes to be held.
	We were called in to rescue Tubby when she was left alone after her human moved to a Nursing Home. That was one scared kitty at first. She hid from us for one full day in a home that she knew a lot better than we did. We were desperate to get her safely out of the house and knew it would be very difficult. We needed to trap her. A humane trap was set up in the master bedroom with some yummy tuna fish as bait. Before long we found her in the trap, the tuna gone and giving herself a kitty bath. In her foster home she loves all of the cats, is first to claim space on the bed pillow at night and takes more than her fair share of lap time. She is about 7 years old, spayed, immunized and healthy. Her ideal home would be with adults who like a lot of attention. Other kitty friends would be nice also. The adoption fee is $95.
	Amy is about fpur years old. She loves to lap sit and purrs loudly for attention when people she knows enter the room. She carries her tiny stuffed ball around in her mouth and then throws it down the stairs to watch it bounce. She is full of self-confidence, loves everyone, and holds her own with people and other cats as well as being very good at entertaining herself. A very special survivor. She was a little over a pound, very skinny but full of spunk when her rescuer found her helplessly entangled in the netting of his pool in Mahopac. Good food, medical attention and lots of TLC have given her a chance for a long and happy life.
	Veto is about two years old. He had a terrible infestation of ear mites which had made him so uncomfortable that he had scratced and clawed at the itch. After treatment his ears were left scared. When we brought him home from the Animal hospital he was so very sweet and loving it is just so unbelievable that someone had not taken care of him. He gets along with all of the cats adores the young cats that he lives with, He baths them and snuggles with them for after dinner nap time. A few months after rescue we discovered that he is diabetic. He takes his insulin shots twice a day like the brave boy that he is. He is a most handsome, sturdy guy with amazing polydactyl paws. Everyone loves him. He will make a terrific family pet or a great companion for a couple or single person...
	Kate is a feisty little girl who keeps her three brothers in line. She loves to play, is inquisitive and adorable with her tiny white medallion and her chest.
	Patty was thrown out of her home by a landlord when her human moved into a Nursing Home. She is a beautiful petite kitty with a sweet personality and the softest blue/gray coat. She would be perfect for an older couple who want a well mannered companion who will sleep quietly on the bed, not beg at the table and always "ask" if she can sit in a lap. She is about 7 years old, gets along nicely with other cats, is spayed, immunized and healthy. The adoption fee is $95.
